Upstream’s not punk, and I’m telling everyone. (Though the billionare backer should’ve been a giveaway.)
That said, it’s hard not to get excited that recently reunited punk group Jawbreaker has been added as a headliner to the second edition of Paul Allen’s Pioneer Square music fest. With the full lineup announced early Thursday, Jawbreaker joins The Flaming Lips, Miguel, Cut Copy, Hot Snakes, Little Dragon, and Zola Jesus among the headliners of Upstream Music Fest + Summit 2018.
And while the vistors are great, Northwest bands comprise the vast majority of the overstuffed bill (which boasts over 200 acts). Some local highlights include TacocaT, Murder City Devils, Sol, Great Grandpa, Tiny Vipers, Hibou, Lori Goldston, and Mirrorgloss (but there are really too many to list, just see the poster above).
Tickets for Upstream Music Fest + Summit are on sale now at UpstreamMusicFest.com. Passes range from $140–$650, and single day tickets run $60.
